End of the Year Activities

How do students qualify to participate in end-of-year activities, including 8th Grade Promotion? The 4th progress report will be used for the initial review of eligibility criteria. The final review of eligibility criteria will begin on May 31st. Counselors will support students during this time to become eligible. Students must follow the following criteria in order to participate:  Good behavior with no “U’s” in citizenship grades on the 4th progress report; a minimum citizenship GPA of 2.0; no more than one F grade on the 4th progress report and a minimum academic GPA of 2.0. In addition, there should be no suspensions in the second semester of the school year; no “serious” referrals for behavior; no more than 10 tardies in semester 2. Students have the opportunity to clear tardies through Friday school. Students must have no outstanding fines (e.g., library, cafeteria, fundraiser, etc.), and have all library/textbooks, and books returned.
