First Quarter Report Card Distributed in December

First Quarter Report Card Distributed in December
Posted on 10/31/2020

Corriea Families,

Last week we communicated the final academic and citizenship grade for the first quarter would be distributed to students parents via the Parent Portal on November 6th. This information was incorrect.

The SDUSD Information Technology Department confirmed final academic and citizenship grades for the first nine weeks of school will not be available until after January 22nd. The delay in posting final grades is due to technical limitations with the student information system.

Students and parents have options for viewing grade information for classes completed during the first nine weeks of school (periods 1,2, and 3) prior to January 22nd.

  •  Students and parents can login to PowerSchool and view the current academic grade via the gradebook feature. The citizenship grade will not be displayed using this method.
  •  Students and parents can wait until the second week in December to view current academic and citizenship grades. This information will be displayed under a category titled “P2”. Current academic and citizenship grades for periods 4,5, and 6 will be available at this time as well.

The final academic and citizenship grade for classes that took place between August 31st and October 30th will be displayed in PowerSchool after January 22, 2021. This information will be titled “S1” and will be recorded in the child’s academic history. Final academic and citizenship grades for work completed in classes between November 2nd and January 22nd (periods 4,5, and 6) will be displayed at this time as well.

We apologize for the confusion and appreciate your patience.
